Prayfully exists because every other prayer app felt like a casino. Streaks that shouted at you. Notifications that begged. Feeds you couldn't escape. We wanted a quieter shape for it.
Every prayer app on the store felt like a casino. Streaks shouting at you. Notifications begging. Feeds you couldn't escape. The big ones charged $99 for a retreat in the second screen. The small ones were ad-stuffed. None of them felt like a quiet place to actually pray.
So we built the smallest possible thing: a daily verse, a streak you could miss without feeling bad, and a way to tell three people you loved that you'd asked for help.
That's still the whole app. Everything else, we say no to.
The app should fit in the palm of a Sunday morning. No streaks if you don't want them. No notifications you didn't ask for.
Your prayers are encrypted in transit and at rest. We don't read them as part of operations. We don't sell anything. Membership funds the app, full stop.
The verse is the design. The chrome stays out of the way. We use a serif from 1825 and a typeface from 2018 — that's it.
For Christians of any tradition. Every verse is in the King James Version — public-domain, shared across the whole English-speaking church. We won't pick a fight you didn't want.
"The kingdom of heaven is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field: which indeed is the least of all seeds…"
Two minutes a day. Whenever you're ready.
